A clip of Yaguchi Mari on youtube make me so interested in her, and it is the reason I got interested in Japanese entertainment. I searched for subtitled videos every day, which eventually led me to discover a lot of things, including Downtown.
Looking back, if she didn't capture my interest, I may never be interested in Japanese entertainment and may never know the genius Downtown.
My interest in anything come and go, but she will always be special to me. And just like you said, for me she's always funny.
